Updating your reminders

Change when Okaya nudges you to check in, and how it reaches you. Two ways: just ask in the chat, or fine-tune everything in Settings.

You choose when Okaya reminds you to check in, and whether it reaches you by text or email. There are two ways to change your reminders. Use whichever is quicker for you.

Two ways to update them

Just ask in the chat

Tell Sanora what you want in plain language. Fastest for a quick change.

Option 1

Open Settings

See every reminder at once and fine-tune days, times, and delivery.

Option 2

Option 1: Just ask Sanora

  1. Open your Dashboard.
  2. In the “Type or talk to Sanora” box at the bottom, type or say “update my reminders.”
  3. Sanora reads your current reminders back to you. Tell it what to change and it takes care of the rest.

Option 2: Settings → Notification preferences

  1. Tap your profile icon (top-right), then Settings.
  2. Under My account, choose Notification preferences.

Everything you can change lives on this one page. Here's what each part does.

Phone number

  • SMS reminders are sent to the number shown here.
  • Use Change number if it's wrong or missing.
SMS needs a US number: text reminders only work with a registered, working US (+1) mobile number. Don't have one? Choose Email instead.

Check-in reminders

  • Set the day and time for each reminder.
  • Tap + Add reminder for more, or the trash icon to remove one.
  • We recommend at least twice a week.

DBT diary card reminders

  • A separate set of reminders, just for finishing your daily diary card.
  • Added the same way: pick a day and time, and a delivery method.

Delivery method

  • Choose SMS or Email for each type of reminder.
  • SMS is only available for US (+1) numbers; Email works for everyone.

Save changes

  • Tap Save changes at the bottom.
  • Nothing is updated until you save.

You're all set

Frequently asked

What's the difference between check-in reminders and diary card reminders?

Check-in reminders nudge you to do an Okaya check-in. DBT diary card reminders nudge you to finish your daily diary card. You set each one separately, and they can be on different days and times.

Why can't I choose SMS?

SMS reminders need a registered, working US (+1) mobile number on your account. If you don't have one saved, or it's a non-US number, pick Email, or add a number with Change number first.

Do my changes save automatically?

In Settings, no. Tap Save changes at the bottom of the page. In the chat, yes. Sanora applies the change and confirms it back to you.

Can I have more than one reminder?

Yes. Use “+ Add reminder” to add as many days and times as you want. We recommend at least twice a week for check-ins.

How do I turn a reminder off?

In Settings, tap the trash icon next to the reminder. In the chat, just tell Sanora to turn that reminder off.

Will changing my number affect anything else?

“Change number” updates the number used for SMS reminders. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the new number.
